It's WE TRIED IT! Friday. This Week: Green Smoothies

This week I have been making some incredible green smoothies for my family. It's a great way to get them to eat more vegetables. I fix one for each of them in the morning and because the smoothies are so sweet tasting, they drink it right up! I even put them into popsicle molds and made a yummy and healthy dessert that my daughter LOVES.

You can pretty much put whatever you like in your smoothie, but here is what I put in mine:

Makes 4 servings:

1 bag frozen organic blueberries or strawberries
2 organic kiwi
1 cup orange juice
1/2 cup carrot juice
2 handfuls of kale or spinach
2 tbsp flaxseed
1/2 cup ice (optional if you are using frozen berries)

OPTIONAL: 1 scoop of Juice Plus Complete Powder- Not familiar with Juice Plus? Check it out HERE

My son is allergic to banana and mango, but if your family does not have allergies, I highly recommend these to add sweetness.

Add it all to your blender and go for it!!

These are absolutely delicious and my kiddos drink them up! The best part is my kids are eating kale!!! They would normally never eat kale by itself, so it is great to get these important nutrients into their diets.
